WE'RE CREATING MEMORIES

At Adventure Club, we harness the magic of real-world learning and the quest for lasting friendships. Our calendar of events is designed to make the social aspect of homeschooling as effortless as possible. We specialize in “Just-Show-Up” experiences for all ages so you can focus on the best parts of meetups: having a good time & creating legendary memories (without worrying about the logistics – we’ve got those covered).

On Wednesdays, we Linger (By The LAKE)

Every Wednesday from 1:30 – 4pm*, we take over Cauble Park for Linger Hours – a Create-Your-Own Adventure, mid-week social break for our community of wildlings (both the young & the eternally youthful).

The park offers a playground, ample green space & a sandy beach right on the lake. Whether your crew likes to climb, run or splash, Linger Hours is a community play date you don’t have to organize or plan. You certainly won’t have to worry about how your living room looks or whether you’ve handled all the dishes in the sink. In fact, you won’t be thinking about any of those things when you’re enjoying fresh sunshine and relaxed afternoon vibes with other homeschool families. You deserve a break too.

When we say we take over the park – we mean it. Small groups spread out across the lawn, the beach & the playground to swim, climb & forge new friendships. While some kids break off to splash in the lake (as seasonally appropriate), others may be flying kites on the lawn or staking a pirate flag at the top of the playground slide.

This isn’t your average playdate—it’s the park party your kids beg for each week. And all you have to do is show up.

With multiple pavillions on-site and lots of space to spread out on picnic blankets, this is a perfect opportunity for community members to organize special-interest mini-groups. Whether your Imagineers are jonesing for a Dungeons & Dragons quest, a knitting circle or an energetic Therian pack, we’ll be ready to help spread the word on when and where interested friends can gather on-site.

Here’s the kicker: This isn’t a drop-off zone. Parents are on duty, keeping an eye on their mini-me’s because it would be irresponsible of Everyday Adventures to offer supervision near the lake, with dozens of kids & no lifeguards on duty. Parents are 100% responsible for supervising their crew at all times.

*Linger Hours is part of the Learn & Linger program. If the skies open up & fall out or we’re off-site with Learn and Linger, Linger Hours will be canceled without a rain check.

We're GOING ON AN ADVENTURE!

On the 3rd Tuesday of (most every) month, we gather to learn more about the people & the world around us via field trips throughout the greater Atlanta area.

In ’24 – ’25, we’ll go “backstage” at local sports arenas, step into (living) history, experience science in unexpected ways & dive deep into how the justice system has affected (and continues to affect) the march toward civil rights & social justice for everyone. In the Spring, we’ll get a peak into the Chick-fil-A experimental kitchen & feast like royalty at Medieval Times (wearing crowns & taking pictures with turkey legs is optional but 100% celebrated).

The fine print

Adventure Club is open to all K-12 homeschooling families. We are a parent-supervised program. All activities require parents to stay on-site at all times.

A few more details:

The Calendar of Events

While we do our best to portray our calendar accurately, all activities are tentative until we have a final confirmation from the venue. This schedule of events may change. When we have outdoor events (such as beach or field days), we rely (well, hope) for the weather to cooperate. Best efforts will be made for rescheduling. Unfortunately, some events may encounter obstacles that make rescheduling impossible. We do not reschedule or make up “Linger Hours.”

Dollars & Such

Family membership to Adventure Club is $100 a year. We negotiate group rates for field trips and pass those discounts along to our crew, but to cover credit card processing fees, we charge a nominal “Sign Up” fee with each paid event registration to keep the coffers balanced.

On Parental Involvement

Everyday Adventures Homeschool programs require all children to have a responsible adult (21 or older) on-site at all times. We are not a drop-off program & cannot act as chaperones for individual adventurers. All field trips REQUIRE adult chaperones.

Please note: this includes Linger Hours. We facilitate the meetup & provide some activity options, but Linger Hours participation REQUIRES parents to remain on-site.

Can Working Parents….Work?

For parents who want to work while on-site at Cauble Park for Linger Hours, we provide extension cords to accommodate multiple extra charging outlets under pavillions with outlets. Parents are welcome to work while their crew socializes at the park, but must remain available enough to be responsive to their children. The Everyday Adventures crew facilitates these events but we do not chaperone these events (’cause we’re chaperoning our kids too).
